Foundation & Crawl Space Repair

I hired Structural Pros Crawl Space and Foundation Repair to evaluate my crawl space, sagging floors and excessive moisture in the crawl space and foundation of our home. Upon their free crawl space inspection they found dry rot, excessive moisture readings and drainage issues in the crawl space. We were also concerned with the visual issues of Mold Spores that we could visualize in our crawl space after looking through the crawl space access door. We could see signs of green mold, white mold and black mold. We noticed J.C Miller Owner/ Operator of Structural Pros happened to be a Certified Mold Inspector and Certified Mold Remediation expert as well as an Air Quality Specialist. We agreed on having an Air Quality test done and to send it to the Lab for quickest results. We found that we had an excessive amount of Brown/  Black Mold due to moisture and lack of ventilation in our crawl space as well J.C brought it our attention that the Black Mold was classified as Aspergillus Mold being the most common to cause severe allergy symptoms to people and pets disturbing their immune system and causing the allergy like symptoms that we noticed after a period of leaving the home for our job and returning to the home to find the allergy like symptoms present again after not feeling the symptoms during the course of the day while away from the home. He explained why this was typical to Black Mold Spores. He suggested cleaning duct work with an antimicrobial solution known as Microban which is used in areas such as hospital operating rooms, cafeterias etc. This product required them to use all protective gear and creative negative air pressure to ensure Mold Spores were regulated and confined, Sent to the outer lowest point of the home exterior. Basically we ended up hiring Structural Pros to complete a crawl space encapsulation and install a dehumidifier and Drainage System. They sealed the crawl space vents, insulated the crawlspace and installed crawl space jacks and crawl space drainage channels.
